Take out the gleaming, small, monolithic block from its box, plug it in, turn it on, click set up :- 30 seconds later you have almost 1TB of storage at your finger tips.
It is very quiet in operation, the merest hint of fan noise, and projects a small blue rectangle of light to indicate it is on.
If you want external storage, irrespective of whether you are interested in style or not, then this has to top of your consideration list.
