Product Review for product HP LP2475w - LCD display - TFT - 24"

I bought this monitor for professional image editing. Once calibrated the image quality is outstanding - with one major and one minor caveat.

The major caveat is that the screen exhibits a pinkish colour cast on the right third of the screen. At first I wondered if I was imagining it but, after some quick research, I realised what a common problem this is. You have to ask yourself if you can live with it and, more importantly, is it going to get worse?

The second, and minor caveat is that I would not recommend this monitor for average use i.e.web browsing etc. The reason is that this is a high gamut monitor and, as such, colours on most websites are so over-saturated that they look cartoonish - reds in particular.

To sum up, if this monitor didn't display the pink cast on the right of the screen, or even if it were an isolated bad example, the score would be an unreserved 5/5 - as it stands I regretfully have to deduct a couple of marks.
